We are proud to have obtained ABS approval of our testing facility for BW biological efficacy testing.
The American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) is an American maritime classification society established in 1862. Its stated mission to promote the security of life, property, and the natural environment, primarily through the development and verification of standards for the design, construction and operational maintenance of marine and offshore assets.
ABS’s core business is providing global classification services to the marine, offshore, and gas industries. As of 2020, ABS was the second largest classification society with a classed fleet of over 12,000 commercial vessels and offshore units.

Approval by Bureau Veritas (BV) been satisfactorily obtained for biological efficacy testing.
Bureau Veritas is a French company specialized in testing, inspection and certification founded in 1828. It operates in a variety of sectors, including building and infrastructure (27% of revenue), agri-food and commodities (23% of revenue), marine and offshore (7% of revenue), industry (22% of revenue), certification (7% of revenue) and consumer products (14% of revenue).
Bureau Veritas is present in 140 countries through a network of over 1,500 offices and laboratories, and 84,000 employees. Bureau Veritas generated €5.65 billion in revenue in 2022.
Approval of laboratory by KR
Approval by Korean Register (KR) been satisfactorily obtained for biological efficacy testing.
The Korean Register is a not-for-profit classification society founded in South Korea offering verification and certification services for ships and marine structures in terms of design, construction and maintenance. Founded in 1960, the society employs 889 people. Its headquarters is in Busan, Korea and it has 72 offices worldwide.
Approval of laboratory by LR
Approval by Lloyds Register (LR) been satisfactorily obtained for biological efficacy testing.
Lloyd’s Register Group Limited (LR) is a technical and professional services organization and a maritime classification society, wholly owned by the Lloyd’s Register Foundation, a UK charity dedicated to research and education in science and engineering. The organization dates to 1760. Its stated aims are to enhance the safety of life, property, and the environment, by helping its clients (including by validation and certification) to improve the safety and performance of complex projects, supply chains and critical infrastructure.
Due to conservative certification standard approach, the LR has issued the approval for limited time. Currently the certificate is being renewed.
HazMat expert certificate by DNV
Our HazMat experts are certified by RO. Our network of experts are covering major ports on Norther Europe and also Turkey.
The validity of the Hazmat certificate is confirmed by DNV, stating – the certificate remains valid until HazMat expert attend the next refresher course by DNV (Mrs. Beyza Doyduk Attila, Ship Recycling Engineer at DNV Maritime). The refreshed has been scheduled for Jan 2024.
International Welding Engineer (IWE) expert certificate by Authorized Nominated Body of Slovensko društvo za varilno techniko, Slovenia.
IWE diploma (as described in ISO 14731) guarantees knowledge and skill to solve manufacturing issues independent of the process, material or application. In addition, IWEs can perform welding coordination activities as requested by several global standards and codes.
The standard route for the qualification requires IWE to attend a training course of over 400 teaching hours (classroom and laboratory) and pass four qualification exams.
