Due to COVID19 restrictions related to travelling of own office staff across the borders, the ship manager took an effort to comply to SMS requirements and contracted external expert to perform the vessel inspection and internal audit. The vessel inspection (with particular focus to PSC most critical items) and audit on board was carried. Findings were identified, communicated to crew, management company and reported in technical report. The company gained a great value by exploring independent expert’s cross industry expertise and complied to SMS requirements.
